The Variable Knee Compressor
The Variable Knee Compressor gradually dials in the selected compression ratio, allowing for much greater compression before pumping and breathing can be heard. The compressor also has a selectable Peak or RMS detection circuit and a "hold" feature that delays the release circuit in order to reduce low frequency distortion during heavy compression. Also, there is an eq on the side chain, so you can reduce the low frequency content of the audio hitting the detention circuit to further reduce pumping and breathing. This effect is resource intensive: 2 mono instances or 2 stereo instances can be run on a single EDS card. But, you can run both No Limit! and the stereo version for the sweetest mastering compression/limiting you have ever heard in PARIS.

The PARIS Compressor
Before the release of PARIS, the developers were asked to "crunch" their compressor so that 16 compressors could run on a single EDS1000 card. The PARIS Compressor is the "uncrunched", original version. Hear how the PARIS compressor was meant to be. You can run 10 mono instances or 6 stereo instances on one card. The high end is beautiful. Version 1.1 adds the ability to blend direct and compressed signals.

No Limit
NoLimit was originally released by Chuck Duffy and his team, and remains one of the finest mastering plugins available. Version 1.3 adds a gain reduction meter, a sample rate bug fix, and the ability to blend direct and compressed signals. A free version of this plugin that does not include my upgrades is available.

The Multiband Compressor
The Multiband Compressor is a combination of the X-Over and the Paris Compressor, stitched together is EDS assembler in both stereo and mono versions. It is DSP heavy, but it is still light enough to run it before an instance of NoLimit for some serious level boosting. You need to hear what this thing does to the low end of a boomy acoustic guitar!

The Deesser
The Deesser is the first and only ESP2 based deesser for PARIS. Select the centre frequency, the width, and adjust the compressor settings to taste. You can "eyeball" your sidechain settings by watching how the sidechain meter jumps when an 'SSSS" is detected, or you can solo the sidechain signal and adjust the settings by ear. This one was a lot of work editing ESP assembler and it sounds wonderful.

The Ducker
The Ducker is the first side chain compressor for the PARIS system. Based on the PARIS Compressor, it compresses the left signal based on the right input, allowing for ducking or creating new sounds by altering the side chain signal with eq or distortion.
